You
have reached the online home of "BLACKOUT"! We're
a classic rock band performing 70'S, 80'S, 90'S and current
guitar rock at fine locations around Central and Northeast Ohio.
Welcome to our website, sit back and make yourself at home.
Or, better yet, come out and party with us at our next show.
The "BLACKOUT" band was formed in the Millersburg,
Ohio area during the winter of 2004. "BLACKOUT" was
originally assembled with former members of "JOE'S GARAGE"
and a couple of Tuscarawas County musicians, who had all become
friends throughout years of playing music in the same areas.
At first the band did not have a name that everyone could agree
was "cool" enough to actually use. During this time
of "name uncertainty", the "Ice Storm of 2004"
hit in Holmes County, Ohio, leaving thousands of people without
electrical power, some of whom had to wait up to two weeks to
have their power restored. "BLACKOUT" became the obvious
choice for the band's name, because of the ironic timing, and
also a small reminder of one of the most devastating storms
in this area's history.
"BLACKOUT"
is Kaw-liga Hatch, Bill Opie, Paul Good and Conrad Miller.
